Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife

Under construction.
Completion expected May 2017

The new 7,200-sf Region A headquarters for the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife will soon be the new home for IF&W biologists and the Warden Service. The project weaves together public meeting areas, private biologist offices and processing spaces, and secure law enforcement functions in a compact, cost effective plan. Designed with a rustic Maine aesthetic, the building responds to the biologists’ needs for clean/dirty work area separation. Processing spaces were designed with direct outdoor access and separate HVAC systems to minimize potential crossover of biological fluids, materials, and odors into public meeting areas and office spaces. A purpose-built processing table with dedicated exhaust and integrated sink and sprayer hose increases the safety of the processing space.
